Located on the banks of the River Wharfe, close to the market town of Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales, Papertex is only a short drive from the international airports of Manchester or Leeds. This allows us to provide immediate response to clients across the globe - either through our high speed internet connections or by an on-site visit.
When Papertex was formed in 2001, the main focus was supporting chemical companies which were selling (or intending to sell) products to the paper industry throughout the world, but which lacked the technical or commercial knowledge in certain key markets. Papertex personnel were able to provide specialist support and often interim staff working under the client's name, to help grow their operations.
This is still a major part of our business, although we have expanded into a number of other areas including market research, technical authorship and grown into other markets such as water treatment. We also now supply chemicals to a growing number of customers who wish to source high quality products for their plant.
Papertex was originally formed by Stan Jenkins. After beginning his career working for a major paper manufacturer - both in R&D and in a paper mill, Stan worked for almost twenty years for a number of global chemical companies supplying the paper and water treatment industries. With a background in both sales and technical service, Stan was able to bring a wealth of experience to his new company.
Stan still runs Papertex, but the company now has a growing list of affiliate consultants with a variety of specialist skills. This allows Papertex to respond to a huge range of customer needs - using the right person or team for each project.
