Consultancy

Papertex is a specialist consultancy firm, serving customers on five continents. Our aim is to add value to the chemical supply chain serving the pulp and paper and the industrial water treatment industries. We do this by providing advice and support in sales, marketing and the application of chemicals.

Although we work across the full range of paper making and water treatment chemistry, the majority of our work falls into a number of discrete categories:

• Wet end chemistry application and trouble shooting
• Internal and surface sizing - especially based on Alkenyl Succinic Anhydride (ASA)
• Retention and drainage
• Strength resins - both dry and wet strength
• Solid liquid separation - typically using DAF or settlement clarifiers or sludge presses

Chemicals

A growing portion of our business has grown out of our consultancy services. In solving operational problems on some plants, we have been asked to recommend or supply chemicals that will perform better that the existing system - and from this has evolved a chemical supply business. Again, this is mainly focused on the paper and industrial water treatment industries - but sometimes we also supply other specialist products if required.
